The Wapello County Conservation Board is continuing to follow the recommendations of federal, state and local government in keeping our facilities closed to the public. On recommendation of the governor, our facilities will remain closed until at least April 30. Staff currently continue to be in the office to answer phone calls and e-mails, and also continue to practice land management at our areas. We will keep you informed as things change. The trails at all parks remain open for hiking. With the wet trails, the trails remain closed to horses and bicycles at this time.

Here is a list of the facilities currently closed to the public at this time:

  • Nature Center
  • Cabins
  • Campground
  • Shelters (Haybarn and Pond Side)
  • Restroom and shower facilities

Thank you for your understanding during this time. Get out to one of our natural areas and witness the natural renewal of spring in action.
