Pioneer Ridge Cabin Rental Cleaning Checklist

Wapello County Conservation Board asked that every cabin renter leave the cabin in as good of shape when they leave as they found it when they arrived. Any variance in this will result in loss of deposit. Any initial discrepancies in cabin condition should be
noted by the renter so that they are not held accountable. (Click here for printer friendly version.)

All of the items below need to be addressed and will be checked by staff following your departure.

  • All floors swept and rugs shaken out
  • Kitchen and bathroom sinks and countertops are clean
  • All pots, pans and dishware are cleaned and put away
  • Shower and shower curtain are clean
  • Bathroom toilet is clean
  • All furniture and appliances are cleaned and in working order
  • No marks or damage to interior walls, doors, windows or stairways
  • Window treatments are undamaged
  • All lights and ceiling fans are in working order
  • No personal items are left inside or outside the cabin
  • All cabin garbage cans have been emptied. Dumpster is located on south side of red
    barn
  • Porch cleaned and swept
  • When departing the cabin, make sure all lights, stove top, oven are turned off
  • Cleaning supplies are returned to the spot you found them
  • All of cabins items are in place and accounted for
  • Front door is locked upon departure

Please remember, Wapello CCB is a conservation organization. We are not a hotel. Cabin cleaning is completed by our Conservation Staff who must be taken away from their important work to make sure that our cabins are maintained in the best possible way. If cabins have been abused or mistreated in anyway, we are not reluctant to keep security deposits. If we smell smoke or see pet hair in the cabin or cigarette butts outside the cabin, we automatically keep deposits.

Please help keep our cabins clean and maintained so that many more can enjoy the peaceful scenery and serenity they offer.
